An idea from my buddy Aj, I give you, Slow Danger. I think I'm going to do a series of these because it was so fun thinking of the different kinds of slow danger.

Jaguaro

A painting of one of my all time favorite Scooby-Doo villains, Jaguaro. Body of a gorilla and the head of a jaguar, so ridiculous he's scary...ish.

Bad directions

Whenever you ask an alien for directions you're bound to get a couple of different answers.

Jon Klassen!!!

The Sunday before last was the reception of the "I see what you say" exhibit at the Cartoon Art Museum. I got the chance to meet artists Jon Klassen, Lemony Snicket, Roman Muradov, Christian Robinson and several other great artists. Not to play favorites but Jon Klassen is one of my personal favorite artists, not just in that group of great talent but of all illustrators. If you haven't seen anything he's done or read one of his books, go now and buy, borrow or go to a book store and read it there. He's an unbelievable artist and an even nicer guy in person, very warm, pleasant and open about his work and process. I went with fellow artist Ciaee Ching, another great talent and we met him together. He was nice enough to pose for a couple pictures with us.

Duck vs. Fish

HEY LOOK! An actual painting painting! With gouache and stuff.

I haven't painted with gouache in quite some time and basically just did a quick sketch with it tonight. I didn't really plan out the drawing, this is just what fell out of my head. I do like the concept though, perhaps I will put these two into more scenarios together.

Washing machine bathtub

I always wanted to try this as a kid but was never allowed. Apparently it was dangerous or impractical or something.

A bear runs into a streak of bad luck fishing.
